The Food and Agricultural Organization, FAO in partnership with the Government of Hungary is offering scholarship to qualified international students for them to undertake postgraduate studies abroad in the 2025-2026 academic year.
FAO Hungarian Government Scholarship is available to be awarded for the Master of Science in Aquaculture or Animal Husbandry Engineering at leading Hungarian universities. Funded by the Hungarian Government, the scholarship covers tuition fees, accommodation, subsistence costs, and health insurance.
With this fully funded scholarship, aspiring students will have the unique opportunity to gain valuable expertise in aquaculture and animal husbandry, contributing to sustainable agricultural practices worldwide.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants;
- Must be nationals and residents of eligible countries.
- Must demonstrate academic excellence in the fields of agriculture, aquaculture, or animal husbandry.
- Must prove proficiency in English language
- Should not be older than 30 years old.
- Must be medical fit (mentally and physically)

Selection Process
The FAO Hungarian Government scholarship review committee will select candidates based on the following criteria;

Scholarship Benefits
Successful candidates under this scholarship scheme will be able to get coverage for tuition fees, books and notes, and free accommodation in the dormitory. They will also be provided with subsistence costs and health insurance for the duration of the programme.
