
The Macquarie University is offering the ‘Vice-Chancellor Scholarships’ to undergraduate and postgraduate students who intend to pursue their studies in Australia. The aim is to reward academic excellence and attract high-performing students to the country.
This scholarship is very limited and awarded to international students based on academic merit. Macquarie University Vice-Chancellor’s scholarships provides a grant of $10,000 applied toward the tuition fees of outstanding candidates.

Applications for the 2025 Macquarie University Vice-Chancellor Scholarship are open, and international students are welcome to apply for financial support to study in Australia.
Tuition Fees
If you are an international student at Macquarie University, the tuition fees you will pay depends on the course and the year of study. Students are usually required to pay a commencement fee of between AU$ 16,000 and AU$ 23,500, but it doesn’t represent the total cost of your unit enrolment. Importantly, all programs for international students are complete fee-paying programs.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant must be an international student
- Applicant must have bachelor’s, master’s certificates
- Applicant must achieve a minimum WAM equivalent of 65 for Postgraduate applications
- Applicant must meet English language requirements
- Candidate must have a minimum ATAR equivalent of 85 for Undergraduate applications.
- Commence study in the session and year indicated in your scholarship letter of offer.
Benefits of Scholarship
The Macquarie University Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship is partially funded. The scholarship amount is worth up to $10,000. It is provided as a partial tuition fee discount for outstanding students and is not renewable.
Application Procedure
- Visit the program’s website
- Complete a nomination form and secure valid offer letter from Macquarie University.
- Fill out the online application form and type “VCIS” in the Scholarship name field
- Submit your student number as outline on your Macquarie University offer letter.
- Ensure you apply at least two to three months before new academic session begins
